Hot Topic Session: Beyond Total Shareholder Return (TSR): Unlocking the Full Power of Your Performance-Based Equity

Financial modeling and analysis have long been used in the design process of Long-Term Incentive Plans and hit a new level with the advent of TSR (Total Shareholder Return)-based performance plans, especially in the probability assessment of achieving future stock price outcomes. However, TSR is not the only metric used in today’s performance plans and understanding the same probabilities for awards using internal metrics is key. The only problem is, how do you even do that? Join Ryan Ross (Aon Equity Services) and (TBD) as they share the many ways in which companies can use financial modeling and analysis to design better performance-based programs with internal metrics. Specifically, we’ll discuss metric selection, goal setting, potential future payouts, and accounting implications. And don’t worry, you don’t need to be a math geek to understand this session – just interested in designing more robust performance plans.
